Itineraries

Day 1

Delhi The City of a Million Dreams

Arrive at Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station to board the Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train. After the on-boarding process, the train departs for Gaya, with dinner served on-board.

Day 2

Gaya to Bodhgaya

Start the day with tea followed by breakfast on-board. Upon arrival at Gaya, board a coach to Bodhgaya, check-in at the hotel, and enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, visit the Mahabodhi Temple, Lilajan River, Thai Temple, Japanese Temple, and the Buddha Statue. Return to the hotel for a delightful dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Bodhgaya to Rajgir to Nalanda to Gaya to Varanasi

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Rajgir by coach. Explore Bimbisara Jail, Gridhakuta Hill, and Venuvan. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Rajgir, then proceed to Nalanda. Visit the ruins, Nalanda University, and Nalanda Museum. After the tour, head to Gaya Railway Station, board the train, enjoy dinner, and depart for Varanasi.

Day 4

Varanasi to Sarnath to Nautanwa

After tea and breakfast on-board, arrive in Varanasi. Disembark and head to Sarnath for a sightseeing tour, including Dhamekh Stupa, Sarnath Museum, Ashokan Pillar, and Mulagandha Kuti Vihar. After the tour, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Post-lunch, proceed to the Ganges River to witness the evening Aarti. Head to Varanasi Railway Station to board the train for Nautanwa, en route to Lumbini, with dinner served on-board.

Day 5

Nautanwa to Lumbini

After tea and breakfast on board, arrive at Nautanwa. Disembark and proceed by coach to Lumbini, Nepal. Guests are advised to carry their passport, visa, visa fees, and passport-sized photographs for visa processing. Upon reaching Lumbini, check-in at the hotel, store valuables, and enjoy lunch. After lunch, proceed for sightseeing, visiting Maya Devi Temple and Ashokan Temple. After the tour, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6

Lumbini to Kushinagar to Gorakhpur

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Kushinagar by coach. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kushinagar, including visits to Mahaparinirvan Temple, Ramabhar Stupa, Kutir Temple, and other historical sites. Once the sightseeing is complete, head to Gorakhpur by coach. Upon arrival at Gorakhpur Railway Station, board the Buddhist Train to Balrampur. Dinner will be served on-board.

Day 7

Balrampur to Sravasti to Balrampur to Agra

In the morning, after tea, the train arrives at Balrampur. Disembark at Balrampur Railway Station and proceed to Sravasti by coach, covering a distance of approximately 30 km. Upon arrival in Sravasti, enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant. After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour, visiting Jetavana Vihara, Pakki Kuti, and Sehat Mehnat, with lunch arranged at a local restaurant. After completing the sightseeing, head back to Balrampur Railway Station to continue the journey to Agra. Dinner will be served on-board.

Day 8

Agra to Delhi

In the morning, after tea, the train arrives at Agra City Railway Station. Enjoy breakfast on-board, freshen up, and then disembark for a sightseeing tour in Agra, including the world-famous Taj Mahal. After the tour, proceed to Agra Cantt. Railway Station to board the train for Delhi. Lunch and tea will be served on-board. In the evening, you will arrive at Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station, completing the journey.
