The Hampta Pass Trek is a dream destination for mountain enthusiasts seeking adventure amidst majestic peaks. Ideal for beginners and amateur mountaineers, this trek’s moderate elevation, peaking at around 14,000 feet, makes it accessible without requiring extensive acclimatization.

Starting from the picturesque town of Manali, the journey takes you through stunning locales like Chikka, dense forests of Rhododendron, Oak, and Pine, and alongside the serene Hampta River. This river acts as a vital connection for the locals between the Hampta region and the Lahaul-Spiti Valley. The trek begins at Prini Village and ascends through lush greenery and breathtaking landscapes, offering a gradual change in scenery and captivating vistas.

Spanning 8 nights and 9 days, this itinerary is perfect for nature lovers and thrill-seekers looking to immerse themselves in the raw beauty of the Himalayas. The best time to embark on this trek is from mid-June to mid-October. Early in the season, patches of snow are often seen on high passes, gradually melting by August. While monsoon rains may occur in the Kullu-Manali valley, the Spiti region remains sunny and vibrant. Daytime temperatures range between 12-20°C, while nights at higher camps can drop to -2 to 6°C. Later in the season (September to mid-October), snowfall becomes a possibility, with daytime temperatures ranging from 12-18°C and nighttime temperatures falling as low as -6°C.

This trek is a perfect blend of natural splendor and adventure, making it an unforgettable experience for all.
