Itineraries

Day 1

Bangalore – Coorg

Morning meet with our representative and then we will drive to the beautiful hill station Coorg (Kodagu). The place also quoted as the Scotland of India for its marvelous hill station which located in the southern Karnataka. Kodagu is a small district in Karnataka with distinct culture, unique customs and traditions. The misty hills, lush green valleys, evergreen forests, breath taking waterfalls will definitely lure one's eyes. The region is surrounded by coffee plantations, orange groves, cardamom, pepper plants and dense forests. Cauvery one of the major rivers of South India takes birth at Talakaveri, some 54 km from Coorg. The people of Kodagu are known for their hospitality and bravery.

Upon arrival check into the hotel. Evening free to enjoy the wonders of nature in Coorg. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2

Coorg

Morning completely on your disposal to enjoy the nature at its best. Memories of the visit to Coorg will linger in you for the rest of your life.

After having lunch we will go on exploration to the little town of Kakkabe, which is a perfect getaway from city hustle–bustle. The town is also the largest producer of honey in South East Asia.

Here we will visit the Nalknad palace – situated just bottom of the Thadiyandamol hill, it was built by Dodda Viraraja in 1792. The palace provide a valued visit and enthralls everybody with its eye-catching paintings and marvelous architecture. Earlier it was used as a hunting lodge, it is not a palace in the usual meaning. The palace has intricate wood carvings all around the structure.

We will also visit the Padi Igguthappa temple which is the holiest Kodava shrine. It is one of most important temple of Kodavas - the tribal inhabitants in Kakkabe, is dedicated to Lord Subramanya. The devotees believe in the miracles by Igguthappa, where anyone can ask for anything from this super power God.

One can make a visit to Thadiyandamol, Coorg's highest peak for the breathtaking picturesque view (On a clear day, one can even view the distant Arabian sea from here).

Later return to the resort. Evening enjoy the activities offered by the accommodation. Overnight stay at resort.

 

Day 3

Coorg - Bangalore

After breakfast leave for Bangalore, one can also visit the town of virajpet before setting off to Bangalore.

The town is famous for its huge plantations of local coffee and spice crops. The famous attraction of the town are the Ayyappa temple halfway up and the Shiva temple at the top of the Malethirike hill, St. Anne's church which is about 220 years old and has been built in Gothic architecture style. The tower of the church has two massive bells of the ancient times and are in use till date, the clock tower.

Further continue drive to Bangalore.
