Itineraries
Day 1
Arrive Cochin - Thekkady
Upon arrival in Cochin, meet our executive who will arrange a transport means to Thekkady. On arrival at Thekkady, check-in at a hotel. After resting for sometime, you will be taken for a cruise on the Periyar Lake, around which you can witness a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, monkeys, deer and wild boar along with a lot of unique birds. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
About Thekkady: Thekkady is home to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which boasts rich flora and fauna including elephants, tigers, sambars, gaurs and the very rare lion tailed macaques. The forest is situated on the banks of the lake, Periyar and has been attracting wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world for years. A must thing to do here is taking a boat trip trip in the lake.
Day 2
Thekkady - Kumarakom
Post breakfast, you will be driven to Kumarakom. On arrival, check-in at a resort at the bank of the Vembanand Lake. Rest of the day will be for leisure activities. Overnight stay at the resort.
About Kumarakom: Kumarakom is a tiny backwater town that offers the tourists the opportunity to peek in the lifestyle of the inhabitants here. The village is situated near the Vembanad Lake and flaunts some flora and fauna. Staying in a houseboat, cruising and fishing are some of the best things to do in Kumarakom. There is also a bird sanctuary in the region that is spread across 14 acres of land which accommodates varieties of birds including teal, wild duck, egrets, herons, cuckoo, waterfowl, darters and many migratory birds.
Day 3
Kumarakom - Alleppey
After the breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken to Alleppey. Here you will be enjoying a stay in a houseboat (Kettuvallam) that cruises across the backwaters. Spend the next 22 hours in your floating villa. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided on the cruise.
About Alleppey Backwaters: Alleppey is famous as a backwater destination. Adorned by swaying palms and coconut trees and a scintillating lake, Alleppey is truly one of the best places to see in Kerala. A stay on a houseboat is an ideal way to relish a trip here. Fishing and birdwatching are some of the best things to do here.
Day 4
Alleppey – Marari
Today, after the breakfast, you will be driven to Marari. On arrival, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day will be free for leisure activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.
About Marari: About 15 kms from Alleppey, Marari is a small beach village. It is also famous for the best backwaters in Kerala. Marari is quiet place with long stretch of coast adorned with palm trees and sleepy fishing villages. Marari also has some of the best beach resorts in Kerala, staying where, is one of the best experiences.
Day 5
Marari
After the breakfast, you will be given a full day to enjoy the sun, water sports and ayurveda treatments. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6
Marari – Cochin
Post breakfast, you will be driven to Cochin. On arrival, check-in the hotel and then after some rest head out for sightseeing. You will visit Fort Kochi Beach, Vasco House and Dutch Palace. Back to hotel for an overnight stay.
About Cochin: offers a good mix of ancient and modern. The city’s most famous attractions are Fort Kochi Beach, Vasco House and Dutch Palace. It is at the Fort Kochi Beach that one can see the exclusive Chinese Fishing Nets in India. Close to Cochin is Ernakulam which has some important attractions to see in Kerala. The two places offer tourists enough number to things to engage in during their tour.
Day 7
Cochin Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be dropped to the airport to board a flight for onward destination.
